# Ascension

Heroes of each rarity level will have a different chance of being summoned. The higher the rarity level of the hero, the lower the chance of opening. When summoned, NFT heroes will be at their starting level. 

Heroes need to be ascended in order to reach higher levels. With each level of ascension, the required amount of NFT items, $SOG or $MEWA will be different.

Each hero has their own unique potential, some will only reach the rarity level of Elite+ while others can reach Legendary+ or Ascended level. Here is the list of Metarriors’ maximum potential:
